“Yet Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our potter; we all are the work of Your hands.”
Isaiah 64:8
What comes to mind when you read this passage?
I began working on a song that I titled LORD Your Shaping me, a while back. The lyrics are pointed:
LORD Your shaping me and making me
All that i was meant to be i see it in You
Sometimes while I’m singing these words I get wrapped in what seems like an endless loop because the confession is so present, so vivid, so true.
When I read Isaiah 64:8 I feel safe, I am comforted by the truth that God almighty calls me His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). I know that every situation, every conversation, and every experience is serving a greater purpose of molding me into the perfect Image of Christ (Romans 8:28,29).
This is profound, sustaining truth. When you hear the song LORD Your Shaping me, I hope you think of these verses and have an awesome time worshiping the LORD of life in Spirit and in truth.
“But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.””
John 4:23-24
