They Screaming “Stop Snitching”

imagesI just had a conversation with a gentlemen who told me a fraction of his story. He served 10 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He was angry and bitter as one can imagine. One of his friend knocked a man out who attempted to assault them.

The gentlemen I spoke with served ten years because he wouldn’t “snitch” on his friend.

We have a tendency to consider his decision to keep quiet as loyalty and give him “street cred”. Can I assess this through the lens of Scripture and shine light on something?

My first question is, what kind of “friend” would allow you to spend ten years of your life in prison for their crime?

The Scripture that immediately comes to mind is

“When someone sins in any of these ways: If he has seen, heard, or known about something he has witnessed, and did not respond to public call to testify, he is responsible for his sin.” (Leviticus 5:1).

Why does this Scripture say the person who does not “snitch” is guilty?

In short, God is good in the literal sense. He has no desire or tolerance for evil. He commends people who hate evil and work for good. Therefore a person who is willing to “protect” a criminal is guilty of tolerating evil. It brings us back to the fall of angels which led to the fall of mankind. God is working to rid His creation of every trace of evil.

People who allow criminals to go free because of a twisted sense of loyalty are actually allowing evil to be perpetuated and remain unpunished. That type of behavior is opposite of God’s desire and character and proves that the intent behind such actions is wicked.

Ask yourself is it God or the devil teaching people to “Stop snitching?”

Leviticus shows this slogan is from the devil himself.

Be wise.

Stay on My Mind

Honestly, I have been quite overwhelmed by the events occurring in the world today coupled with the wealth of information available on the internet. I have spent hours researching many topics dealing with current events, end time prophecies, and more. The sad thing is we are in a world with increased communication but knowledge of truth is diminishing. Youtube is filled with conspiracy theories and debates about everything from who the true Israelites are to predictions of upcoming events. I find myself thirsting to know and understand Yahweh/Yeshua deeply.

I can clearly see mass deception about popular trends, “celebrities”, and politics. I see people in a strong delusion about the darkness that is intensifying. It pains me to see so many leaders on world stages speak contrary to the eternal Scriptures. It can be crippling to spend an extensive amount of time focusing on such things. What am I going to do?

Heed Philippians 4:8 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable-if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise-dwell on these things.
